When I was a kiddo, my folks would walk me from door to door trick or treating. We’d drive if we were going to hit farther neighborhoods, but then they’d get out of the car and walk with me.
Parents today? Follow slowly along the block in their cars as their kids walk door to door trick or treating.
You lazy, lazy people. Take a walk around the neighborhood with your kids.
My full-size packages of Skittles and Starbursts were a hit. A couple kids specified what kind they’d prefer, and I was fine with that. One girl almost grabbed, and she was whiny. Nay, you take your Sour Skittles and be gone! But there were many gasps and “YES!” going on when some kids would catch sight of my box of full-size confectionery treats. There is nothing fun about fun size, people. Don’t cheap out on Halloween.
I was scared I wouldn’t get any trick-or-treaters, I went to see my niece in her costume right after work (Winnie the Pooh’s honey pot, my suggestion of a ZOMBIE BABY was shot down), and I didn’t get home until almost 7pm. But my two boxes of 30 Skittles/Starbursts were almost empty by 9pm. A couple left over for me!

Sounds like the perfect Halloween to me! Full-sized candy is always awesome. My little sister swiped all of our candy because didn’t get any trick-or-treaters this year, and she hid all of the stuff in her room. I’ve been known to raid her room when she was at school. Mwahahaha.
